This SportDOG Waterproof Rechargeable bark control collar uses innovative PerfectBark technology, which provides firm, fair and consistent bark control, while eliminating false corrections by requiring both vibration and sound to activate a correction. How It Works:
This SportDOG 10R basically has one of the most dependable and reliable detection sensors that you can find. When your dog barks and it detects (from vibration as well as the barking sound itself), it simply deliver a little static through the contact points.
You’ll be glad to know that other dogs barking or any external noise will not affect the sensor or trigger it. It is also built with the safety of your dog in mind. If your dog is barking 15 or more times in a 50 second period in any of the 10 available modes/levels, the collar system will shut off for 3 minutes automatically.
The Different Modes:
Temperament Learning Mode – this is where the static delivered is at its lowest and then, increases to a different intensity every time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous one. The ‘smart’ collar will actually remember the correction/static level required to stop your dog from barking. Hence, the next time your dog barks again, the correction will start again at the previous level that was used.
Progressive Correction Mode – Similarly, the correction level starts at the lowest and then increases to a different level whenever your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. However, the difference of this mode is that if your dog doesn’t bark again within 30 seconds, it will ‘reset’ and go back to the lowest level again in that mode.
Manual Mode – You get to choose the correction level you want! When your dog barks, it will correct him at the level that you choose until he stops.
